The Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) is a groundbreaking investment that supports the critical public health infrastructure needs of health departments across the United States. ASTHO is one of the three PHIG national partners, supporting 107 PHIG recipients and maximizing CDC’s record investment to deliver a modern and sustainable public health system that promotes equity and resilience.
As a PHIG national partner, ASTHO provides:
- Tailored, thoughtful on-demand and proactive technical assistance (TA) to PHIG recipients. TA may be provided through ASTHO’s deep bench of internal subject matter experts as well as our extensive network of partner organizations.
- Thought partnership and tools to share stories of success from the grant with recipients, public health leaders, and policy makers.
- Programs and resources for public health officials and their leadership staff to strengthen public health infrastructure in their respective jurisdictions.
- Facilitation of knowledge-sharing across health departments through peer networks, in-person and virtual convenings, and learning cohorts.
