Bounce Forward

As America looks to recover from the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic, state and territorial leaders can either approach recovery efforts as a way to reconstruct our communities the way they were prior to COVID-19, or "bounce forward" into a better world by advancing efforts to create healthier, more resilient communities. To "bounce forward," state and territorial leaders must engage directly with community members, employ a health equity lens to ensure investments reach marginalized communities, and utilize a health in all policies framework to address the factors of health and well-being that fall beyond the scope of public health and healthcare.

To support the recovery effort, ASTHO is releasing a new suite of resources each month. The materials provide a straightforward method for state and territorial leaders to identify current recovery resources across a variety of sectors, consider and coalesce around achievable opportunities for health improvement in their jurisdictions, and commit to engaging community leaders in policy-making and implementation decisions.

Check back each month for new resources.
