ASTHO offers guidance, resources, and webinars on a variety of public health preparedness topics.
In 2011, CDC launched a one-year risk based funding pilot for select jurisdictions to promote development of risk reduction strategies that mitigate public health risks in metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs). The purpose of this pilot was to develop and conduct a health focused Hazard and Vulnerability Assessment. ASTHO hosted a webinar on June 9, 2016 that featured speakers from PA, ID, and NYC who provided a brief overview of their jurisdictional risk assessment. A second webinar was hosted on June 28, 2016 that featured speakers from NJ who provided in depth information about the methodology of their jurisdictional risk assessment. Both webinars are archived under the "Webinars" section of this page.
