Expanded PFAS Exposure Assessments in Pennsylvania Communities

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a group of synthetic compounds found in a variety of household and industrial products. The two most studied compounds in this family, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), have been associated with a range of health concerns. The following webinar recording describes follow-up work by the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PADOH) to further characterize PFAS exposures in affected Pennsylvania communities. In this webinar, PADOH shares insights on planning and implementation of this project as well as results and lessons learned along the way.
