Despite the expansion of comprehensive tobacco control efforts nationwide, tobacco use disparities in rural areas persist, where adults use combustible and smokeless tobacco products at elevated rates.

This webinar co-hosted by ASTHO and NACCHO, in celebration of the Great American Spit-Out and Through with Chew Week, will features examples from Oklahoma and Mississippi of how state health departments can collaborate with local health departments in rural areas to deliver tobacco control resources and messaging to rural populations, highlighting efforts that combat the use of smokeless tobacco.
