ASTHO's Primary Care project examines key areas of intersection between public health and primary care, and supports the 2013 President's Challenge of the reintegration of public health and healthcare. ASTHO also addresses training and technical assistance for state primary care offices, and provides information to state health officials on larger access to care and primary care issues.
ASTHO and a number of public health and primary care leaders convened to develop the Primary Care and Public Health Integration Strategic Map, which will guide work in this effort across organizations. Keep updated on progress towards integration and implementation of the strategic map by visiting the Integration Forum page.
